"CHAXIRAXI" y Nª Sª de las Candelas (TENÉRIFE) - Islas Canarias

Y hablando de...  "La Virgen de La Candelaria"

-patrona de TENERIFE- se me viene a la memoria el pueblo GUANCHE, de origen bereber al igual que los pobladores de las otras 6 islas con las que junto a ellas conforman el Archipiélago de Las Islas Canarias en el Océano ATLÁNTICO muy cercano a la costa noroeste  de África.
Diversos pueblos bereberes habitaron estas bellas islas antes de ser conquistadas definitivamente en 1496 por los reyes "católicos" Isabel de Castilla y Fernando de Aragón aunque la invasión ya había empezado en el Año 1402.
Los aborígenes de las Islas Canarias fueron el único pueblo nativo de la Región Macaronesía (=Islas Alegres y Afortunadas) ya que no se ha constatado que existiese ningún pueblo aborigen en las Islas de Azores y Madeira ni en Cabo Verde antes de la llegada de los europeos.
Y volviendo a la "Virgen de La Candelaria" decir que en la Mitología Aborigen Canaria había diosas y dioses que -aunque sí tenían atributos similares- tenían "nombres" distintos.
Así pues, antes de la evangelización católica, en Tenérife adoraban a la diosa "CHAXIRAXI" que traducido al español significaría algo así como "LA que sostiene el CIELO"= (TA YIR AYI). También la denominaban...

"La MADRE del Espíritu Creador del Universo".

¿Seguirá recordando a "CHAXIRAXI" el inconsciente de los "chicharreros tinerfeños" cuando en la actualidad van a venerar a "Nuestra Señora de Las Candelas" sosteniendo VELA de "color verde"

¿Reminiscencias del pasado?
¿Recuerdos ancestrales del cerebelo?
¿La glándula pineal? ¿La pituitaria? ¿El hipotálamo?
