SINOPSIS

This book has not been written to compete either with school-textbooks, neither with SPANISH GRAMMAR books of 500 or 800 pages, aimed at University students and teachers.

This is a work directed to students and/or teachers of Primary and Secondary schools who wish to have compiled in 1 volume the numerous RULES and EXCEPTIONS - concerning Morphology and Syntax - which are "scattered" along the more than eighty lessons that may include studies of Primary and Secondary courses.

Due to the book format and number of pages this GRAMMAR provides EASY handling.

The structure and summary tables will be EASY to understand and memorize.

Because of its 40 pages about "Special Difficulties", and its 33 models of IRREGULAR verbs, you had wished to have been able to consult it long ago.

Its "INDEX" General “50 CLUES” and Alphabetical will make searching EASY.

The INDEX entitled “50 STEPS” is for structuring the teaching in 50 progressive steps from minor to greater difficulty.

The information given in the ANNEX about SPAIN will be also very useful for you all.

In a previous chapter, we mentioned that there are 71 types of irregularities as concerns the Spanish way to conjugate our verbs.

“TEN complete schemes” out of those 71 types have already been shown previously.

"The shade of the cypress is elongated" (Miguel Délibes - 1947)


Es la primera novela de Miguel DELIBES.
La novela es una narración tradicional en cuanto a andadura y recursos expresivos, que se desarrolla en la ciudad castellana de ÁVILA, la cual según Délibes no está "protegida" por sus murallas, sino "encerrada" por ellas como así ocurría en la ESPAÑA de los años '40 a los '70.
La primera parte describe la vida del protagonista y narrador, Pedro, cuando es niño. Es huérfano y se encuentra en una situación difícil ya que su tío lo deja a cargo de un maestro, Don Lesmes. Este tiene una concepción pesimista de la vida. Más tarde conocerá a Alfredo, su primer y mejor amigo, y las cosas acabarán complicándose para los dos.
En la segunda parte, el protagonista se ha convertido en marino después de haber estudiado en la universidad. Intenta escapar del PESIMISMO adquirido por la educación subjetiva de su maestro. En uno de sus viajes al extranjero, por razones de trabajo, se enamora de una mujer, pero la debe abandonar, puesto que él mismo se rige por sus normas internas y no se permite el lujo ni de cambiarlas ni de desobedecerlas.
Con la entera novela narrada en tono objetivo, el autor nos va destapando una escena MÍSTICA, dominada mayormente por el pesimismo y el sentido de muerte. Sin embargo, en la segunda parte del libro, antes de que el protagonista hubiera perdido toda esperanza en la amistad y el amor, se encontró dando un paseo al lado de una "ANCIANA señora" y durante su conversación se va enterando del verdadero significado de la VIDA humana y del AMOR y finalmente tomó una perspectiva optimista hacia la Humanidad.
